Our Team

Dr. Joe is a native Houstonian who was born and raised in the Northwest Houston area. After graduating from Jersey Village High School with honors in 1986, he attended the University of Houston Central Campus. Earning his bachelor’s degree in Pre-Optometry, he proceeded to obtain his doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. The University Of Houston College Of Optometry is a highly-ranked optometry school well known for its research and clinical programs. Education includes rotation through the university’s primary care clinic, contact lens clinic, pediatric clinic, and ocular disease clinic.

During his externship, he provided both refraction and ocular care to the servicemen and women at Randolf Airforce base in San Antonio. Dr. Joe graduated from the College of Optometry and received his doctoral degree in 1993. He is licensed in therapeutic optometry and is a certified glaucoma specialist. He is also licensed to manage and treat various ocular pathologies, including eye infections, iritis, dry eyes, and glaucoma. Screening for diabetes in the eyes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma is a must for all the patients he sees.
 

Since graduating in 1993, Dr. Joe has been providing quality eye care, refractions, contact lens fitting (including to astigmatism, bifocal and specialty keratoconic lenses), and LASIK co-management in the Houston area. He has been an associate doctor at several practices and an associate at Vision Source since 2001.
 

Dr. Joe has been providing friendly, thorough and excellent eye care in Spring, Tomball and the south of The Woodlands communities since 2014. He takes pride in giving exceptional service and patient care. With each patient, he takes to heart his motto of providing clear and comfortable vision. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Candy and family, biking, working on computers, and traveling.

Dr. Chow grew up in Spring, Texas and is a proud graduate of the University of Houston where she studied for both her undergraduate and Doctor of Optometry degrees. After practicing in New Jersey for seven years, Dr. Chow moved back in town in 2021 to serve the community’s vision and eye care needs.
 

She received advanced training in primary eye care, contact lens, and ocular disease in the clinics of the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her externship at the Northeastern State University in Oklahoma and the Rural Eye Program Clinics of the Cherokee Nation gave Dr. Chow experience in anterior and posterior segment pathology such as cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma.

After graduating in 2014 she worked in a high volume practice where she provided care involving well vision, contact lenses, dry eye syndrome, trauma, and other ocular diseases. Dr. Chow also has experience in co-managing pre and post cataract surgery as well as pre and post LASIK surgery.
 

Outside of the office, Dr. Chow is a proud mother of two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys being an amateur gardener, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and their cat Butter.
